(a).

An officer on the Temporary Establishment

who is engaged on agreement, or otherwise, for a special purpose and for a limited period, is not entitled to the leave à

of absence as laid down for the permanent staff in the Colonial

Regulations unless it be so stated specifically in his agree-

-ment.

(b). Such officer may be granted sick leave on

full pay on the certificate of a Government Medical Officer,

exceeding 28 days in any one calendar year.

(c).

(a).

II.

An officer on the Temporary Establishment

as a Probationer serving under agreement with the prospect of Joining the Permanent Ratablishment, if his services should be required at the expiration of his agreement, may in ordinary circumstances on the recommendation of the Head of his Depart- -ment be granted one month's vacation leave in each year but not

half-pay leave.

(b).

Such officer may also be granted sick leave

on full pay on the certificate of a Government Medical Officer,

not exceeding 28 days in any one calendar year.

N. B.

If leave cannot be given, or if the Officer does not avail himself of the privilege, no compensation is under any circumstances per-

-missible.
